Not much to write about since June – the weather was crap, I barely got out (once in July and August combined) and my fishing was generally unremarkable, which is code for poor. There were a couple of respectable trips aboard Ian’s Raider at St Andrews but even there the fish were down in numbers and quality, and the only time I took Alcatraz out of Dunber the fishing was so catastrophically bad that I ended up wreck hunting miles down the coast. In fact I found more wrecks than I caught quality fish – just a pity they seemed empty. Now it’s just a question of roll on next summer – it can’t be much worse.
