I get a real kick out of fishing in quiet, beautiful surroundings and the west and north of Scotland offers this in spades – if only the fishing could match the scenery! These are a few of my favourites, with quite a few sunrises and sunsets amongst them, funnily enough.
Most of these locations are only accessible by boat, or by a longish walk, but it really is worth getting up early to grab a sunrise with views like these.

Aquamarine waters make this a very inviting mark on the north coast of Scotland.
