9th August 2009 – Dunbar

Weather: Dry, largely overcast, SSW wind F2-3
Sea Conditions: Calm
Time Spent: 0600-1300 – 5 hours
Tides: 05:04 – 5.0m

Decided to focus the day around another pollack session down towards Siccar, given the size of fish around the previous trip, so went over to the wreck to pick up some mackerel first. Next stop was a couple of drifts off Torness which produced only a large pouting, despite a respectable esterly drift. Down to Siccar and immediately hit an offshore breeze which wasn’t quite as forecast. Fishing was actually quite slow, with a slowish trickle of pollack, mainly of moderate size, plus some codling and ling on the bottom baits.
